Everybody’s Talking

┈┈┈┈┈☟┈┈┈┈┈

Big Tree: The medieval town of Gubbio, Italy, lies at the foot of Mount Ingino. Each Christmas, the townsfolk light up what is known as the world’s largest Christmas tree. It is an illumination shaped like a Christmas tree, over 2,000 feet high, made up of more than 900 bulbs connected by hundreds of feet of electric cables. This annual tradition started in 1981, and solar panels now help provide the power to light it.

Santa’s Chimney: In the Cotswold Hills in England, a boy named Leo Park worried that his new home’s chimney wouldn’t be large enough for Santa Claus. Builder Jeremy Paxton assigned his architect to enlarge the chimney, and the company even had Father Christmas test it to assure Leo it was just right.

Special Tree: The people of Puebla, Mexico powered their community Christmas tree with kinetic energy from 15 bicycles. Pedaled for eight hours, the energy lit up 8,000 lights overnight, demonstrating environmental benefits through collective effort.

Expensive Bubbly: Rare champagne discovered in a 200-year-old shipwreck sold for $156,000 (US) at an auction in Finland. One Veuve Clicquot bottle fetched $19,000 (US), preserved by cold temperatures and darkness.
