Everybody’s Talking

┈┈┈┈┈☟┈┈┈┈┈

A big dip: A swimming pool in Algarrobo, Chile probably outshines all other pools in the whole world! Located at a private resort called San Alfonso del Mar, the pool sits along the shore of the Pacific Ocean on a sandy beach. It is just over .63 miles long and it holds 55 million Imperial gallons of sea water, which is pumped in from the ocean. The mechanical design of the pool also ensures that the water is filtered and treated. Due to the filtration system, the water in the pool is aqua blue and crystal clear. There’s definitely lots of room to go for a dip!

Bad call: Taxpayers in Blackburn, England, could be forgiven for thinking a recent call to police for help was petty. While police are usually called for serious crimes, in this case it was an argument in a beauty salon. It seems that a woman came to the salon asking for the stylist to “fix” her hair, which she had dyed herself at home. It took two stylists several hours to complete the job, but the customer was unhappy with the results and refused to pay for their services. The owner of the salon claimed that she had lost money trying to help the woman. Police ended up telling the two parties to take their argument to a civil court where it would be settled.

Wet wedding: What a way to start a wedding day! A couple and members of their wedding party, all dressed up in their wedding finery, took a plunge into Crosslake in Minnesota (US). The bride and groom, along with 22 people, were lined up on a long, narrow dock for the photo shoot. Unfortunately, the dock was not strong enough to withstand the weight of such a big crowd and it collapsed, sending the folks into waist-deep water. After the shock of the incident, then laughter, the wedding party pulled themselves together and got on with the wedding ceremony in their wet clothes.

Sidewalk creation: Sidewalk art thrives in cities around the world, but nothing quite beats a street painting in China’s Nanjing City in Jiangsu province. There, a team of artists lead by Yang Yongchum created a three-dimensional work that is 1200 ft. long. It is located on a long sidewalk on the campus of the Communication University of China. Yongchum, a renowned Chinese artist, put his team to work from dawn until dusk, yet it still took more than 20 days to complete the creation. The sidewalk art depicts local architecture and attractions, cars, streets, trees and buildings.
