Everybody’s Talking

┈┈┈┈┈☟┈┈┈┈┈

Wacky competition: The Punjab Youth Festival that takes place each year in Lahore, Pakistan, often hosts some crazy competitions for its participants. In one competition, a young martial arts expert named Mohammad Rashid took the challenge of breaking walnuts with his forehead. Event officials lined up walnuts on a long table and Rashid leaned forward and got cracking while being cheered on by the crowd. In the end, he managed to break 155 walnuts in one minute. The previous record was only 44 in one minute.

Painting pandas: There are lots of artists who like to paint wildlife, but there is one in China who uses very special subjects for his artwork. Liu Zhong enjoys painting pandas and his paintings can be quite whimsical. For example, one painting depicts a group of pandas frolicking together in the grass. Zhong wants to raise the public’s awareness about pandas, so he asked 20 teens from Hong Kong to go to Sichuan Province in China, where pandas live, to attend a summer program so they can learn about these iconic animals.

Six-seater: There is a baby carriage, or pram as it is called in England, that causes people to gasp in disbelief when it hits the streets of Cambridge with a load of children in it. Looking like some type of carnival ride, the pram is made from a large four-wheeled wagon that holds six baby seats, three on each side, that face each other. The push handle looks like it was meant for a super-sized lawn mower. Crazy as it seems, the six toddlers going for a ride in their specialized vehicle look like they are having a great time!

Cookie Monster: A man in Friendswood, Texas must have had a need for building materials because he and a friend were caught stealing rebar metal and hurricane fencing from a construction site. Witnesses who reported seeing the men load up the material were able to give a very accurate description of one man who was wearing pyjamas with the Cookie Monster character printed on the front. The two men were arrested, a feat made easy when the police recognized the Cookie Monster outfit.
